Steel Flange Hollow Shafts for Gearbox Reducer

Our hollow shafts are mainly applied in gearbox motors, made of C45 steel and processed with tempering and quenching to enhance mechanical performance.

One outstanding merit of the hollow shaft design is its considerable weight-saving effect, which is beneficial to both structural engineering and practical function. The hollow center also improves space utilization, as it can serve as a passage for axles, drive components or other operating media.

Compared with solid shafts, the production of hollow shafts is more technically complicated. Its stability depends heavily on wall thickness, material selection, working load, torque, as well as overall dimensions including diameter and length.

Hollow shafts are critical elements in hollow-shaft motors for electric-driven vehicles like trains. They are also ideal for use in jigs, fixtures and automatic equipment manufacturing.

3) Lathe Turning for rough dimensions
